About us

Shrink wrapping built for Malta.

Shrink Wrap Malta is a specialist shrink wrapping company for Malta, Gozo and Comino. Most of what we cover floats — yachts, superyachts, boats and the yards that work on them — and every cover is built for this climate: the sun, the salt, the Saharan dust and the gregale.

What we do

One job, done properly

We fit protective covers and enclosures made from shrink wrap film. On the water that means lay-up covers for boats that won’t be used for a season, part covers for yachts while contractors are aboard, containment for refits and resprays, and transport covers for boats being moved or shipped.

Off the water, the same film seals scaffolds, keeps buildings dry while the roof is off and protects plant and machinery. It’s a small part of what we do, and we do it to the same standard.

How we work

What you can hold us to

A cover is built, not thrown over

Every cover goes on a frame, is welded into one skin and is vented. That’s what makes it last a season and come off clean.

The price is fixed in writing

Survey first, then a written price that doesn’t move. No provisional sums, no “subject to access”.

We’ll say when it’s the wrong answer

Sometimes a canvas cover, a tarp or simply a good rinse is the better call. We’ll tell you.

We take it away

When the job is done, the film comes off and leaves with us. Nothing left behind on the yard or the berth.

A job, start to finish

How a job runs

  1. Photo or survey

Send photos and the length, or we measure her at the berth or in the yard.

  2. Fixed price

The frame, film, vents and doors, in writing. That’s the number you pay.

  3. Frame and wrap

On the day she’s blocked off or berthed, working to the yard’s or marina’s rules.

  4. Through the season

Zipped doors let crew, surveyors and contractors aboard without opening the cover.

  5. Film off

When she goes back in, we take the cover off and away.

Finished covers

What a proper cover looks like.

Framed, vented, welded into one skin and clear of the boat — the standard every cover is fitted to.
